Is it just me, or is she becoming the next Kate Moss? And why all of a sudden has Harper's Bazaar started to become a great magazine (perhaps it could fill my long annoyed relationship with American Vogue)?

the lesser known
In the beginning, when I first saw Pivovarova, my first thought was "she tries way too hard". Now however, Sasha has really been climbing up the fashion scale. From Prada ads, to more amazing editorials. Her latest, in the January 2008 issue of American Harper's Bazaar, photographer Anthony Ward captures her beautifully.

The last photo really caught my eye. It stands out from the others, even though the others are still gorgeous.
I never thought Kate Moss was anything special.

I think I posted on someone else's blog that Shasha P and Gemma have that Moss-ian (sp?) look. Or at least they were all influenced by Moss's features. And I agree, Bazaar is by far the best mainstream American fashion magazine

I didn't like her at first either. I thought she would steal my then current favorite's (Gemma Ward) thunder. But now her spirit has shone through and her artistic talents won me over completely. I would adore having her as the next Kate Moss.

Sasha is amazing, with her face she can do what ever she wills. She can be sweet and cute and within seconds scery and edgy. Love it.

I agree with Juliet, she can be really edgy but there's always this innocent air, which is really refreshing. I could see her being the next Kate but for now she feels like the new Gemma.

with all the stunning photo eds she's done, it's impossible not to love her. i absolutely loved this ed, esp the fist shot, the one where she's hanging off the rope and the last one. haper's actually has good photo shoots from time to time, which comes as a surprise to me sometimes also.
I love the editorial, especially the one where Sasha's in Balenciaga.
Harper's Bazaar is one of my favourite magazines, they always have some interesting editorials.

oo sasha is really captivating. i love the pic of her swinging on the rope. so pretty
ever since i 1st saw it that black and white blocked headband is still on my mind. and i thought a sim. thing when i saw the editorial i thought not too many yrs ago this editorial would have been kate moss.
but no one can really replace kate moss.
