Earth day might be a little while away, but it is time for some change. Although some may think Al Gore with the mention of global warming, it's about time the fashion industry is accepting the new eco trend. Organic products are on the uprise, and I'm challenging all of you, my readers, to take a stand, and make your next fashion purchase be from a sustainable product. Make your purchase be it a, shirt, dress, jean, under garments, anything counts!
At first thought, organic cotton was the only thing that came to mind. Nowadays, designers like Oscar de la Renta, Diane Von Furstenburg and Agnes B are turning to bamboo for their designs. Bamboo is the fastest growing grass in the world, and is possibly one of the most sustainable resources we have.

The whole green debate is an interesting one. I am such a geek when It comes to recycling and turning off lights, and I really think that awareness needs to be raised about it.
But the whole concept of fashion just isn't very environmentally friendly if you think about it.. At the end of the day, they're still new clothes being produced!
