I apologize for the non posting of the London shows as they became available. University has bombarded me with essays and more essays and revisions of essays and re-writing essays. The horror! Alas, here are some London S/S 2008 collections, but first I'm starting off with Diesel from NY S/S 2008.

Diesel
I always have a soft spot for Diesel, and this collection is no different. Diesel had three distinctive parts to the collection. The beginning was about white and yellow, the middle was grey and white, and the end held black and pink together. I personally loved the white and grey colour combinations.

Allegra Hicks
AH was a pretty collection. However, that is all it was: pretty. Something could have been done to make it stand out, but perhaps the good ole tride and true is just what you need everyonce and awhile?





House of Holland

Henry Holland lost last season's quirky T's and filled the collection with, well, an indescribable assortment of clothing. No words are needed for the, uh, 80's throw-back mix of randomness (and I don't mean that in a good way).


Giles Deacon





Aquascutum


Known for the raincoat, the designers chose a prominent Asian influence for this collection, and it works.







Luella
With Thora Birch from Ghost World as a muse, Luella has created a truly wonderful and original colection. I already have my sights on a cardigan with the black bat outline.
